A western lowland gorilla from the Baku Group, one of two groups of
habituated western lowland gorillas the Wildlife Conservation Society
tracks in cooperation with Ba’Aka trackers from Mondika and Mbeili
Camps deep in Nouabale-Ndoki National Park. When I was there, they
were they only habituated groups.

I thought they were fighting, but the researcher who was with me was excited to correct me – turns out they were actually playing, something he told me is rarely seen. At Mbeli Bai in Nouabal-Ndoki National Park, Republic of Congo.
